Destry's Lounge........ i had no idea that these guys are gonna change my life like they did. Although i am not flying with them anymore, i feel them like family and miss them.
Goyda, Omar, Grandis, Gohun, Bogo, Kana, Blam, Tisni, Hosokawasss, Vicky and all other pirate mates i forgot to mention.
So there i was, a tottal newb in a hungry space who managed to get 500 kills in low sec in 5 month of game.... how did i do it... only thing that falls on my mind is that i didnt care if i lose everything. I followed them, sucked hard, bled with them in every opportunity, and shared the loot yarrr.
So there is was, after few months of pirating, and after my first "big" war against DNA guys, who kicked our butts almoust everytime that day arrived.
DNA left our region, and we stayed in contact with them since they were real warriors. They gave us fights all the time, and they kinda liked us because we didnt want to step back and always fought to the end. Few of their members remained in the area and started pirating with us.
I logged in that evening and went on standard patrol when i noticed few of my corp members trying to hunt down 3 russians battleships which were killing a neutral reasearch POS. As we failed to catch them we contnued to destroy that same POS because it had 12 valuable labs inside and we wanted them for ourselves.
Since killing a pos in unseccured space takes a lot of time and demands a big number of people we decided to bring one Goyda's Phoenix - dreadnought class ship. After good check of local and surroundig systems all seemed very clear and Goyda went into Siedge mode (massive bost to damage but cant move for 10 minutes). Tower started to drop down much faster.Everything looked fine for few minutes....
One of DNA members joined on our teas speak and asked us "Hey guys are you doing aything??? i have massive capital gathering in nearby system...so i was wondering..."
SHIT
Battlecoms... Everyone get into your support ships FAST, we need to prepare for inoming assault...
In that moment cyno opened up near Goyda's dread and "Mars Volta" our old enemy, arrived with his capitals. They had 1 dreadnought, 3 carriers, and 2-5 battleships. Fuck they are gonna kill our dread.
Luckily that friendly intel gave us that precious 1 minute to prepare for incoming assault. Falcons were ready, and suicide ships were ready. Goyda's siedge cycle had 2-3 minutes remaining. So we had to buy him time and keep the warp disruptors out of him. Fearsome battle began. His dread almoust insta popped one of hostile battleships. We came in with our own battlecruisers and battleships and we had 2 falcons jamming everything in reach, as the countdown was reaching zero, goyda's shield and armor were reaching zero too, luckily DNA guys showed up in support ships also and they managed to jam few more of them and suddenly we heard I AM OUT, I AM OUT .... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn we were happy, their ambush failed since our dreadnought managed to survive in structure. Mars Volta warped his dread out from there... wait someone reported MARS VOLTA DOCKED in kickout station.... has the Hunter became Hunted???
In that engagement we lost 2-3 ships but it was a good sacrifice, now we were rushing to repair our ships and we all warped to the kickout station where Mars Volta and his friends docked.
HE UNDOCKED, and he had 3 carriers with him, that ment a LOT of fighters on the field. Battle lasted a lot, carriers were trying to send fighters on our ships, but immediatley those ships warped out and kept fighters bussy in warp. Our falcon pilots managed to jam them few times, and i suicided my frigate to kill enemy falcon after which i swithced into my hurricane and returned to fight.
he is going down,
he is going down
YEEEEEEEEEEE
.
.
.
YEEEEEEEEEEE
Oh man we were kings of the world that night..... "I bet he is yelling at his mates, and hitting his computer so hard... and crying on a fail trap and a lost dread ! "
"I got his corpse !" loooooool .... omg that was cup on the cake.
After that we returned and finished the POS, took down the labs and won the day!
That night is still one of my favourites, that intel and help we recieved were prieless, so was the almoust dead dread warpout, and complete turnoround in killing enemy capital.
Now you know...
